Meet the Candidate Night

On Saturday, February 15 from 7:30 – 9:30, the Union Township Clermont County Republican Party will be hosting a Meet the Candidate Night and Straw Poll. The Union Township Party Republican Party and is happy to provide this voter information and education event at no charge to the community.

While all candidates are welcome, the event will focus on the following races:
House District 65 (Dills, Schmidt, Blevins)
House District 66 (Bird, Freeman, Owens)
Senate District 14 (Uible, Johnson)
Commissioner (Painter, Hicks & Batchler, McGraw, Becker)
Appeals Court (Birck, Byrne, Cooley, Powers)

These are important races. Three of them (State Senate: Uible/Johnson – and – Commissioner: Painter/Hicks – and – District 65: Dills/Schmidt/Blevins) have been profiled or listed as “must watch” races by Enquirer Columnist Jason Williams. Candidates marked “*” are those endorsed by the Clermont County Republican Party. Each candidate who appears, in those races, will be given 4 minutes to speak. Other candidates who appear will be introduced.

The event will also feature a straw poll as a fundraiser. We will sell tickets ($1) each that can be used to vote for your favorite candidate(s). Each person who comes to the event will be limited to $20 (20 tickets) max. Candidates will not be permitted to buy tickets.

The venue is RJ Cinema and Taproom which is in the same complex as Jungle Jim’s at 4450 Eastgate S Dr Suite 100, Cincinnati, OH 45245. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
